From repository to production in three steps

There is nothing to install and no YAML to write. birden reads your repository, builds it the way you would locally, and routes traffic only after the new build is healthy.

  1. 1. Connect a GitHub repository

Install the birden GitHub App on one repository, pick the production branch and, if needed, the root directory. Every push to that branch starts a deployment.

  2. 2. We build it in an isolated container

Each build runs in a fresh container with CPU, memory and time limits and no platform credentials. Live logs stream to the dashboard; secrets are redacted automatically.

  3. 3. Preview URL, then production on your domain

Every deployment gets its own immutable preview URL. Production switches only after the health check passes, with automatic HTTPS on your domain and one-click rollback to any earlier build.

What you get

The parts of a modern hosting platform that small teams actually use, without the parts that only make sense at planet scale.

  • Next.js with server rendering

App Router and Pages Router, route handlers, image optimization. Standalone output is packaged into a small image; other setups run with next start.

  • Static sites

Vite, Astro, plain HTML or any tool that produces a folder. Hashed assets are cached for a year; HTML revalidates on every request. SPA fallback is optional.

  • Preview deployments

Each push gets an immutable URL you can share with a client or a reviewer. Failed builds never touch what is live.

  • Custom domains with free TLS

Verify ownership with a TXT record, point a CNAME, and certificates are issued and renewed for you.

  • Document storage

A MongoDB-compatible JSON database per project, provisioned in a click. Each tenant gets an isolated database and its own credentials, injected as DOCSTORE_URI.

  • Environment variables, encrypted

Separate build-time and runtime variables, encrypted at rest with per-secret keys and masked in the API and logs.

  • Live build logs and rollbacks

Follow a build line by line while it runs. Promote any earlier successful deployment back to production in one click.

  • Clear usage limits

Projects, build minutes, concurrent builds, storage and traffic are counted per plan and shown in the dashboard before you hit them.

What birden is not: there is no global edge network and no scale-to-zero serverless runtime. Your production app runs as a container in Kazakhstan, which is exactly the point.

Built for companies that must keep data in Kazakhstan

If your users are in Kazakhstan, hosting abroad means slower pages and a longer compliance conversation. birden runs in the country so you can answer the data-location question in one sentence.

The only data that crosses the border is the Git fetch from GitHub when you connect a repository. No analytics or tracking scripts are loaded from third parties.

Where your data lives
Platform metadata, build artifacts, application containers and document storage run in the Yandex Cloud Kazakhstan region (kz1).
Personal data law
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and Their Protection" (No. 94-V) requires databases with personal data to be stored in the country. Hosting on birden keeps your database inside Kazakhstan.
.kz domain rules
Sites on .kz domains must be served from servers located in Kazakhstan. birden satisfies that rule for the production URL on your domain.
Billing in tenge
Prices are set in ₸ and include VAT. Invoices and closing documents for legal entities will be available when paid plans launch.

Questions we get asked

Which frameworks can I deploy?

Next.js applications (14, 15 and 16, with or without standalone output) and any static site: Vite, Astro, Hugo, Create React App, plain HTML. You set the install command, build command and output directory; sensible defaults are detected for you.

How is my data isolated from other customers?

Every build runs in a disposable container with its own workspace and no platform credentials. Your application runs in its own container with only its own environment variables. Document storage gives each project a separate database with a restricted user, so one tenant cannot read another.

Where exactly are the servers?

In the Yandex Cloud Kazakhstan region (zone kz1-a). The control plane, the build workers, your application containers, artifacts and document storage all run there.

How does billing work?

Prices are in tenge and include VAT. During the beta nothing is charged and every account has the free plan limits. When paid plans launch you will be able to pay by card, and legal entities will receive invoices and closing documents.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Add the domain in the project settings, confirm ownership with a TXT record and point a CNAME to birden. A TLS certificate is issued automatically and renewed before it expires. The number of custom domains depends on the plan.

What happens when a build fails?

Nothing changes for your visitors. A failed build never becomes a preview and never replaces production. You see the full log in the dashboard, fix the problem, push again or retry the deployment.

Can I roll back?

Yes. Every successful deployment is kept for a while according to your plan, and you can promote any of them back to production in one click. The current production build and the last rollback target are never deleted by retention.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a project removes its deployments, artifacts, environment variables, domains and document storage. Deleting your account removes everything else. You can also email support@birden.kz and we will confirm the deletion in writing.
